So, If you are going to run your HTPC on Android then you can just easily go to Google Play Store and download Kodi. If Google Play store is not installed on your device for any reason then you can just go to Kodi’s site and download APK according to your site.
Same goes with Windows also. You can either install Kodi from Windows Store or you can just download and Install the .exe file. I personally recommend you to install Kodi from Microsoft Windows store because updating Windows Store apps is quite is easy.

Kodi Add-ons are a very important part of Kodi Software. You can enhance the Capabilities of you Kodi HTPC setup using Kodi Add-ons. You can get features like Live Streaming, Downloading Torrent directly on your Kodi Setup etc. But Kodi Add-ons are divided into two parts Official Add-ons and Un-Official Add-ons.

Official Kodi Add-ons.
These add-ons are made, maintained and offered by official Kodi team. These add-ons allow you to stream content from sites like YouTube etc. They are totally safe to use and fully Legal.
- Open Kodi and Go To Add-ons section in Left Sidebar.
- Click on Download Add-ons button.
- Here you will find a few categories like Weather, Lyrics, Information provider, Video Add-ons.
- You can go to any category and choose any Addon and click on Install.
- Now you can see your newly installed addon in the Addons section
UnOfficial Kodi Add-ons.
These add-ons are developed by third-party developers and Official Kodi team is not at all responsible for them. Using these add-ons you can stream paid content for Free. These add-ons are not legal and hence we recommend you to use VPN while using these add-ons.
- Go to Add-ons section and then Install from Zip file option.
- Put the Link of repository which you want to install and click on Add.
- Now again go to the Add-ons section and Go to your Added repo.
- In this repo, you can find many Addons which you can install.
